Dispute Board Appointments
A dispute board (sometimes referred to a “dispute adjudication board” or “dispute avoidance board”) is a job specific adjudication service which seeks to resolve disagreements at an early stage before they turn into expensive disputes.
A dispute board is typically made up of three independent and impartial professionals selected by the parties at the outset of the project. The dispute board will make regular visits to the site and will be actively involved during the project delivery phase. Disagreements between the parties are referred to the dispute board, who will then work with the parties to resolve them by publishing decisions and recommendations.
How we can help
If you are interested in establishing a dispute board on your project, then we can assist by drafting appropriate terms and conditions. This would include the terms on which the dispute board operates with the wider project team, and also the terms of engagement with the individuals on the dispute board itself.
Our Director and lead consultant William Brown is also available for dispute board appointments. William is a qualified civil engineer, solicitor advocate, adjudicator and mediator. This unique blend of skills enables William to add value to the project boards he sits on and to ultimately add value to the project itself.
